CU 11-05 De Novo is approved unanimously!!!!!
What does that mean? It is the official case number for the Polk County commissions hearing that took place July 12, 2011 where, due to the odd zoning of the land where CFP is located only 3 of the roughly 30 acres were zoned properly for paintball, and the hearing was held to expand the zoning. After a tense couple of hours, where our neighbors indicated their displeasure and the 30 or so players and parents of players voiced their support for CFP, the commisoners of Polk County voted 5 to 0 to allow CFP to remain in business.
Central Florida Paintball is grateful for the support that has enabled us to triumph in a difficult situation with our neighbors. The difficulty comes from the fact that no one, least of all CFP, wishes to be thought as a nuisance by their neighbors. As the staff of Central Florida Paintball strives to be better neighbors, it is our sincere hope that our valued customers also conduct themselves with respect for the people and property surrounding CFP as well as all of North Lakeland and Polk County.
